Every year, teens in Boys & Girls Club compete for Youth of the Year by attending workshops, writing essays and creating a speech about their club experience to share at the Youth of the Year Banquet. One winner is selected to represent Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Washington at the Washington State competition, where they will join the other winners from clubs across the state for the chance to win college scholarships and represent Washington at the regional and national levels.
