Jeff represents clients in a wide range of real estate matters, including both transactions and litigation. Before joining Landerholm, Jeff operated his own firm, practiced with two major Pacific Northwest law firms, and served as judicial clerk to the Honorable Virginia L. Linder at the Oregon Court of Appeals. Jeff’s experience includes the following:

  • Represented regional homebuilder in acquisition of multiple development properties throughout Washington and Oregon.

  • Represented numerous individuals and businesses in commercial and residential purchase and sale transactions.

  • Represented numerous property owners in prosecuting and defending real property claims, including claims for adverse possession, easement disputes, actions for partition, and other boundary, ownership, and access claims.

  • Represented nonprofit organizations in acquisition of properties to establish transitional and permanent housing for homeless families and individuals.

  • Represented clients in acquisition and disposition of resource-based real property.

  • Represented timberland owner to establish private way of necessity for timber harvest.

  • Represented excavation contractor in payment dispute with owner.

  • Represented developer in damages action against municipal government. Obtained summary judgment in client's favor.

  • Represented commercial landlord in declaratory judgment action to determine ownership of underground storage tanks. All claims resolved in client's favor at summary judgment, including award of attorney fees.

  • Represented property owner in claim for specific performance of alleged oral agreement to sell. Obtained immediate dismissal, release of lis pendens, and award of attorney fees.

  • Represented international outdoor advertising company in breach of contract action arising from proposed acquisition of easement. Obtained summary judgment dismissal of claims.

  • Member of team that prosecuted contempt action against state agency. Trial court held state agency in contempt, imposed substantial fine, and awarded attorney fees to client.

  • Defended city council member against charges of violating city ethics ordinance. Charges dismissed after hearing before city council.

  • Represented insurers in numerous actions for subrogation and contribution throughout Oregon and Washington and on pro hac vice basis in Montana, Colorado, Utah, and California.
